SUMMARY:Dirt N Dust Run 2024
DESCRIPTION:Greater Bunbury Rotary Club are hosting their annual Dirt N Dust Run in 2024\, with some of the funds raised going towards Australian Rotary Health’s Lift the Lid on Mental Illness campaign. \nDirt n Dust is not a race\, rather a challenge to achieve the unthinkable. \nEach two-person team (per vehicle) needs to raise a minimum of $2\,000 (but hopefully a lot more) to participate in the run. As there are two of you\, it’s only $1\,000 each. Plus $600 per participant\, which covers meals and camping expenses during the 5 day experience\, and $150 entry fee per vehicle. \nThe event will be held over 5 days on 16th-20th October\, 2024. \nHead to the Dirt N Dust Run website to register. \n

Having now raised over $1.32 million for Australian Rotary Health\, we look forward to pushing this to over $1.4milion in the near future. \nThis will be the first ride organised under the banner of D9815. \nRegistration for this popular fundraising event is now open\, with strictly limited places\, so get in early to secure your place. (Cost for riders is $998.00\, support crew/drivers $800.00) \nJoin us for the “Ruby Ramble” 2025\, Baddaginnie to Benalla.                                       \nApproximately 580km over 6 days \nDay 1: Baddaginnie – Wangaratta- 76km \nDay 2: Wangaratta-Chiltern-Rutherglen Loop-98km \nDay 3: Wangaratta-Yackandandah-Myrtleford Loop – 125km \nDay 4: Wangaratta-Yarrawonga Loop – 115km \nDay 5: Wangaratta-Milawa-Eldorado Loop – 100km \nDay 6: Wangaratta-Glenrowan-Benalla – 64km \n(Distances subject to change due to road/traffic conditions.) \nThe ride this year will be centred around the greater Wangaratta region\, taking in many of the towns in the area. SUMMARY:North Ryde eFun Run 2025
DESCRIPTION:The North Ryde eFun Run for Youth Mental Health is organised by the Rotary Clubs of North Ryde\, Ryde and Macquarie Park. The proceeds will go to Australian Rotary Health\, for research into youth mental health and to support other youth programs. \nIn 2021\, the club transitioned the Fun Run to a virtual event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The eFun Run has raised over $20\,000 for Youth Mental Health. \nThe event is open to the local and broader community\, university and school students.  Students\, their parents and siblings\, and the many residents and businesses of the area are invited to enter the eFun Run\, paying a small entry donation. \nEntrants nominate a distance they will challenge themselves to cover during the week. They can walk\, run or jog in their own time\, at their own pace\, individually or in a team. \nEach entrant or team can seek sponsorship for their challenge from their families\, friends and colleagues through the eFun Run website: https://rotary-north-ryde-efun-run-for-youth-mental-health-2025.raiselysite.com/ \nThere are gift card prizes for the individual or team that raises the most in sponsorship. \n

DESCRIPTION:Rotary Club of Carlingford (D9685) and Rotary Club of Environment of Habitat (D9675) would like you to join them to celebrate the historic occasion of Banjo Paterson speaking at Parramatta Town Hall 125 years ago ! \nThree-times Australian champion bush poet GREGORY NORTH will be presenting the “Life & Rhymes” of Banjo Paterson – an extended version of a show performed by Greg for nine years in Winton – the birthplace of Waltzing Matilda. The show features visuals\, facts and poetry – a must for any Banjo Paterson fan. \nAs well as being Australia’s most famous poet\, Banjo was a newspaper correspondent at the Boer War in South Africa. From September 1900 to April 1901 he travelled Australia and New Zealand presenting lectures on the war – and made appearances through 56 places\, including PARRAMATTA. \nThe Parramatta Town Hall has been recently renovated as part of the development of the PHIVE Building at Parramatta Square.
