How will I contribute to improving Indigenous health as a qualified medical practitioner or health worker?

I have been accepted to study the post-graduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing which has been a career goal since I stared Nursing.    The course will assist my current clinical skills from working in the Intensive Care Unit, and I hope to someday work towards retrieval nursing.   In order to become a retrieval nurse you must have Critical Care qualifications and have a minimum of five years experience working in an Intensive Care or Emergency department.

The Emergency medical retrieval teams provide care and transport to those living in remote areas across Australia.   Therefore by continuing my education I believe I can provide the best possible care and hope to have the chance to one day reach out to Aboriginal communities, and provide medical treatment in times of most need.
