I like that Psychology can be used across a wide range of fields and I would also have to say that coming from my family background I see it benefits in helping so many people, especially those from my community in Broome, WA.   I have lots of family and friends who have issues associated with alcohol, displacement or other trauma and I think I can really help.  I am also studying Criminology as part of my double degree, which I think ties in with Psychology, and is really relevant to Aboriginal people.

there are so many young kids out there suffering and who end up in the juvenile justice system; again many have suffered some terrible things and rather than just having them go through the system I think we have to put resources in working with them, including the use of psychologists, to help them live productive lives.
