Welcome to the Rotary Rides Canberra Five Peaks Challenge

(With a bonus sixth peak)Event logo

It’s on Sunday 28 April 2019

The 2019 event raises money for charity – Australian Rotary HealthShelterBox and local charities.

This non-competitive cyclo-sportive bike riding event provides a great challenge to ride the six peaks of Canberra – Mount Stromlo, Red Hill, Mount Pleasant, Mount Ainslie and Black Mountain and Dairy Farmers Hill (in the Arboretum). It is historically named ‘Five Peaks Challenge’ but since 2015, when Dairy Farmers Hill (in the Arboretum) was added, it has six peaks for you. That’s 20% extra!

And it’s a great way to see Canberra from the saddle with support along the course, great home made food at the refreshemnt stations and energy snacks at the peaks.

You do not have to ride up any of the peaks. Your non-climbing partner can by-pass them all and ride 87 km (longer route) or 57 km (shorter route) or you can by-pass any you find too difficult.

There are two ride lengths (about 117 km or 88 km if all peaks ridden). Ride all six peaks for a total elevation gains of about 2,000 m on the longer ride and 1,450 m on the shorter ride.
