Winter Solstice

Join the Rotary Club of Blacktown City on the longest night of the year to ‘shine a light on the darkness’  of Mental Health. The event will be set up with contained camp fires and candles on the showground around which people will be able to sit or stand and share their experiences with mental health issues, suicide prevention and bereavement.

There will be non-stop entertainment, hosted by Australian Rotary Health Chairman Elect, PDG Stephen Humphreys.    To ‘set the mood: during the evening will be a number of singers  and there will be a panel of several high-profile speakers who will address the community on mental health education.

There will be support from and attendance of all Emergency Services this includes all the retired groups that are very interested in joining the event. There will be local community businesses that have assisted with the event through donations etc. that include Bunnings, Guardian Funerals, Signarama, Office Works just to name a few.
